Approach and Results

Debriefing: Before starting this project, the group developed a studio where we had showcased our brand. From there, we were given the chance to select the 18th September Foundation as the client with whom we wished to collaborate with.

Brainstorming:We all contributed a few suggestions during the brainstorming session for things that would encourage young people to learn more about history while doing so virtually and physically.

Secondary Research: Collecting data from existing research a few group members did some research on the topic itself to initially use this information for the content of our app.

Primary Research: Taking part in most of the interviews gathering information from users' firsthand experience providing a brief overview of its features and asking the questions we had to require the information we needed. This was helpful for getting additional understanding of how the app would be applied and any improvements we might add.

Competitor Analysis: Identifying pottential competitors we conducted a brief reseach since there is not much to find in the category of these type of applications.

Define

Empathy Maps: To help with the primary research I created empathy maps basing it of two of the interview I have conducted. This helped us with identifying any key points or issues we migth have.

Lotus Blossom: Using this method we had a chance to look at the problem from another perspective to pottentially find a more in-depth look at various soultions

Storyboard: Creating a storyboard based on the information we have maintained from the previous research, I helped my group by directing and giving suggestions on how the story should look like. This helps us develop requirements for our product.

Concept Visualization: To help with the ideation process I contibuted by creating a few sketches of how the application might look, roughly creating a visual idea of the application.

Concept Document: To have a better insight on the application itself. We created a concept document to help our target audience and other people as well better understand what it's all about.

Develop

Brainstorming: For this part of brainstorming we created a document to add on any ideas we had for the product so far, everyone contributed to this document. This is also when I started with the story telling part of the product, I asked a few of my group members to help with finding content due to the client being unreachable at this point.

MoSCoW: This technique helped me in prioritizing things so that as a group we could manage what we needed to implement on time. By arranging the features on this visualization, we were able to focus our group's attention on the most important aspects of the project and develop a great quality final result that meets the needs of the client.

Wireframes/Prototypes: Visualizing how the application would look to our clients, I created most of the prototype based on the requirements and reasearched some of the useful feedback from other users. I writedown most of the feedback given to us and some of them can be found on canvas under the groups feedpulse. To look at the prototype click the button bellow. (Prototype document)

Deliver

Usability Testing: To help improve the UI of our application I conducted a few useability tests using the prototype that was created. Playing the part as a moderator I was able to observe and recieve feedback from the users after completing a series of tasks that we have prepared for them.

UI Iterations: Iterations of the User Interface were made in order to improve the overall user experience of our application. Having to participate in most of the design of the wireframe/prototype, Playing with  where buttons should go and where specific elements should go and implementing the useful feedback we received.

User Story: Having to understand the point of few from our users and the value of the features of our application we created user story. Allowing us to consider the users needs and desires to ensure the application meets their expectations

Trello & Git Repository: Making sure everyone in the group contributes to something while also making it easier for us to work together we used both GIT as well as trello for most of the task devisions

Coded Application Testing: Making sure the applications code is working and all the UI is working accordingly, I took part in conducting in the final testing, where I played the part of ....

Advise to Stakeholders: Reflecting on current issues and other possible improvements for the app I created the document and added all the neccesary content in order to give our clients advise on how to go further.

Final Pressentation: For the final pressentation we all took part in pressenting the final product in front of our stakeholders. Before starting I set up the phone camera to record our pressentation. I took the part of introducing the team, giving a brief introduction of the agenda, explaining the problem statement and our goal for this project

Video Prototype: Creatiing the video in preparation for the final pressentation I helped with recording the clips at a few spot around Eindhoven center, to give a demonstration of the app.

Semester Reflection

This semester has been a learning experience, enhancing my skills in research, design, project management, and ucd development. Each phase of the project contributed to my growth, and the collaborative nature of our work added to the value of teamwork and communication. Working on this project has deepened my understanding and equipped me with practical skills and insights for future endeavors.
